2018 MHRD Ranking for Medical Colleges in India
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi (AIIMS) has secured the first position and emerged as the best medical college in India in the MHRD National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 Rankings announced on April 3, 2018 by Union MHRD Minister Prakash Jawadekar.
The institutes were ranked on five parameters namely,
* Teaching
* Learning & Resources
* Research and Professional Practice
* Graduation Outcomes
* Outreach & Inclusivity and Perception.
In the NIRF ranking, the top 10 positions have been bagged by;
1) AIIMS - New Delhi
2) Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research
3) Christian Medical College
4) Kasturba Medical College
5) King George’s Medical University
6) Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research
7) Banaras Hindu University
8) Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences
9) Aligarh Muslim University
10) Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute
These rankings will help the candidates in making the best decision before applying to admissions to a college. Whilst in the process of shortlisting colleges to apply for, these rankings can play a key role.
